Since 1857, Chesterfield Baptist has served and taught God’s grace in this county. We are abundant in history, grounded by faith, and excited to serve Jesus Christ our Savior in the 21st century. Once known as the little white church on the hill, the compassion, friendliness, and devotion to our Lord that was established in that small country church has followed us into today’s modern society.

Our mission of taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our community and the world through relevant ministries of service continues as we minister to our community today.

We invite you to worship God, grow personally, build friendships, and serve others with us!

We Believe

…In God the Father, creator and sustainer of the universe and all it contains. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise; infinite in holiness, and all perfection.

…In Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, he perfectly revealed and was perfectly obedient to the will of God even to death on a cross for the sins of the entire human race. He arose from the dead, ascended into heaven and will come again at the end of the age.

…In the Holy Spirit; the Spirit of God who guides, teaches, comforts, and empowers believers with spiritual gifts for worship, service, and evangelism.

…In the Bible, God’s holy word, our sole authority for faith and practice. It is the perfect treasure of divine instruction, with God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth for its matter with Jesus Christ as the criterion by which it is interpreted.

…In the church, the body of Christ, which includes the redeemed of all ages but is primarily expressed as a local autonomous group of baptized believers, voluntarily coming together under the Lordship of Christ, and each member being equally responsible for worship, service, spiritual growth and the sharing of the gospel with all people.

…In the sinfulness of human beings, who though created in the image of God and endowed with freedom of choice, chose to sin against God and thus bring spiritual death and alienation from God upon the entire human family.

…In Salvation offered freely to every human being by God’s undeserved favor through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord, by which we can become new, be adopted into God’s family and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live for the Glory of God, the betterment of the community of faith and the sharing of the Gospel with all people everywhere.
