The Youth Group of Chesterfield Baptist is designed for students 6-12th grade. Our focus is simple, develop our youth through friendship and spiritual guidance with a godly influence as they navigate through middle and high school.

Youth Group is a place to form friendships, share thoughts on everyday things, and learn that others are going through a lot of the same things you are. Study the word of God and allow Him to guide you through the tough challenges of growing up, such as the pressures of dating, school, friends, and parents.

Sunday Mornings focus on Bible based studies and how we can apply those teachings to our lives today.

Wednesday night Youth Group is a casual time for students to connect with friends and grow closer to God. Studies are based on current situations. The goal is to equip our teenagers to interact in this world, with the tools of love and service, as well as learn how to stand firm in their faith.

Creative Bible Lessons on the Prophets, by Chrystal Kirgiss
Delve into the lives and missions of Old Testament prophets in ways that will pique your interest and imagination. Learn about ordinary individuals with extraordinary messages about faithfulness, idolatry, self-centeredness, integrity, passionate faith, knowledge of God, a just society, and God’s mighty hand in the history of all humankind.
The prophets offer 2 indispensable gifts to teenagers--a window into the heart and mind of God, and a recurring reminder that human beings matter immeasurably to God. The prophets talk to God and to people. But best of all God responds. He speaks to people--and to teenagers--today.

Homeless and Hungry Ministry

The youth of Chesterfield Baptist Church are very active in the Homeless and Hungry Ministry. On the first Saturday of every month, we meet at the church at 6:45 a.m. to pray, then travel to downtown Richmond to distribute homemade lunches, clothing and toiletries to the homeless and hungry of the area. We have three designated stops and return to church around 11:00. Participate in this rewarding ministry to fulfill some of your high school community service hours. A Youth Emergency Contact Form needs to be on file.

As they say, friends who worship together stay together. Join us on Sunday mornings during 11:00 Worship in the Youth Section. We listen intently, pray hard, and sing loudly as we praise our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ together.

God is all around us. We like to look for him in smiles, laughter, and joy. Once a month, the youth group plans a time to just play. Join us and bring a friend!
